    The post by urgrad2004 is rather funny. It assumes several things that are just, well, dopey.

    The first assumption is that the Chinese would not have a Chinese word for the n-word and thus prefer to use the English version.

    The second assumption is that urgrad2004’s friend would assume that a conversation would be occurring in China about black people. Being as there are hardly any there to begin with, this is very curious.

    The third assumption is that the friend would over hear a conversation where the n-word was dropped numerous times.

    With that, here is what really happened:

    Urgrad2004’s friend overheard a conversation in China. The people were speaking in Chinese. Urgrad2004’s friend might not be too bright and since he heard a Chinese word that sounds like the n-word, he automatically assumed that it was the n-word.

    The word urgrad2004’s friend likely heard was the Chinese word for “that.” When sitting down and listening to a conversation, this word is used often. It does sound similar to the n-word but it is definitely not the n-word.
