I was sitting with my brother one afternoon at a blackjack table at Mandalay Bay, which was dead the week after the Super Bowl.
Four Middle Easterners came up, one sat down, the other three stood behind us jabbering away, being very irritating.
I raised a cheek and let one go.
My brother told me he was sure one of them said that the place smelled just like back home.

Many years ago, I played pai gow poker at Viejas near San Diego. Crazy place. Lots of Asian action. Rules were unlike any other casino -- jokers totally wild, a collection instead of a commission, manual shuffling of the cards, stuff like that. I'd be playing $10 a hand, and people would come up and play hundreds behind me.

The best part was player banking, which happened with a lot more frequency than regular casinos. Whomever had the bank got to roll the dice cup. The Asian players make rolling the dice cup an art form. How those tables remained in one piece, I'll never know....
