Blackfoot ME died Saturday. I had a phone interview for a gig there once.

Geez, has Oxley even been laid to rest yet?

And, just a reminder: Everybody, please, let's be careful out there...

That's quite the unique intro. I mean, obviously they have to fill the position and quickly, but mentioning the why seems odd.

The paper is small and might need someone right away, but I too was surprised by the wording (in this context, are there fortunate accidents?).

Terrible. His daughter was in the truck with him, too (treated and released).

It says he'd only been ME for three months. Don't suppose that, rather than writing an uncomfortable intro to a job posting, the paper could call up a couple of the other interviewees and see if they're still interested...?

Damn. My best to Oxley's family and the staff in Blackfoot as well.

Ugh. Awful news. I worked with Chuck at the Idaho State Journal. Great guy. Was fun to be around. Really good reporter.

Ad seems a little coldly written as well. Maybe it's good to get that up front so applicants know what they're getting into ... but maybe it could have been worded a little differently.
