    There are plenty of black kids at Yankee games. They're in the parking lot offering to "watch" your car for $5. My grandfather told me, "You pay them the $5 or you come out and your tires are slashed."

    To be fair, the neighborhood the Yankees play in is lilly white.

    It's not? Hmm.

    Black kids aren't the only ones who can't afford to go to games anymore.

    The Steinbrenner bio alleged that Big George paid the local Black Panthers and/or Nation of Islam money to watch the stadium during games. So, your grandfather was not off by much.
