    You're all acting like he spent six months researching this himself, like tons of stuff didn't get done because he was buried in 100-year old files and interviews. He was in the last day or two of his tenure in office. How much could there possibly have been to do? Is there any evidence he blew off someone else seeking a pardon to focus on this case? To me, this is probably no different than the president pardoning a turkey every year at Thanksgiving: a five minute endeavor that's kind of fun and nothing more. It got some press because it is kind of fun, or interesting. It's easy to imagine it getting far more play in the press than it it did in real life. Hell, we've probably thought about it more than they did.

    Well, in his defense, big budget flicks starring A-list brat packers portraying him as cool badass have been made. Are you really gonna trust some quack "historians" over the authorities in Hollywood?

    And Bill Richardson is already in bed with Hollywood ... so it makes sense
