Well, that would be one way to get an NBA job while basically being able to stay in Gainesville.

I wonder who Florida would get to replace him? It's tough to know what the expectations would be. True, the Gators have won the last two titles, but they also lost most of their better players. Whatever the expectations, I think it will be difficult for the next coach to meet them.

  5. His team's gone, he's won two in a row.
Get out before the NCAA comes a'knockin'.
I think UK had Lucas's bank account number, let alone his phone number, already.

And what becomes of Jai Lucas and the other stud recruits that just signed with UF? I imagine someone from Kentucky's digging for Mr. Lucas' number as we speak.

Terrible decision is he jumps to the NBA.

He has cornered all Florida high schoolers right now. What southern schools will beat him in a recruiting war? UNC? Duke? That really is a stretch for those two to dip consistently into Florida.

    Miami? Florida State? Nope
    Kentucky? Nope
    Alabama? Nope
Georgia? Georgia Tech? Auburn? Ole Miss? Miss State?

Honestly, I think Tennessee would give him his hardest recruiting wars.

    Am I forgetting anyone?

He is poised for a dominant decade if he chooses to stay and UF.

Orlando is one Dwight Howard knee injury from being just another .500 team for the next 10 years.

Major fucking mistake. He'd have been better off going to Kentucky.
