    I thought it was a quick, easy read.

    I hated Simmons until I started listening to his podcast. Now, I actually like the guy.

    I was one of them. I'm not in newspapers any more but I never got that thrill that reporters are supposed to get when they get a scoop. More than anything, I just got anxiety. Of course, I had a different kind of anxiety when I GOT scooped, so I never just let the competition beat me or anything.

    A beat obviously wasn't what I was wired for, and that's perfectly OK with me.

    i got about halfway through it and decided, i really don't give a shit about his dilemma, the randy moss trade, the decision. so i quit reading.

    I read about 1,500 of the 62,000 words in that story, but I think he wants to keep his sources because they add to his columns with side info that does not have an expiration date.

    Did he ever mention if he lost the "Moss Vikings" guy as a source?
