Money. It's all that matters. (Except if you're in the bootstrap crowd, and then it's all about working three jobs.)

Simmons had Chris Ryan & Andy Greenwald on his podcast yesterday, and announced that those two will soon be doing a twice-a-week pop culture podcast under Simmons' umbrella.

To be fair, Simmons was working three jobs with ESPN -- his Grantland duties, the NBA stuff, and the podcasts. Not to mention his appearances on things like PTI, the 30 For 30 work, and all of his other appearances to promote the other stuff.

Simmons speaks to the president (again). Whitlock must be pretty upset.

Now the company can pay enough money to hire a competent co-host for the Micheal Lombardi and Mark Titus podcasts. Tate Frazier, the current co-host is frequently incoherent. He speaks in these long, convoluted paragraphs, filled with irrelevant asides about players from North Carolina.

Does this mean all the other media companies will pivot to pods now?
