    What year will we see these types of awards going to writers whose body of work largely (if not entirely) has been crafted for the Internet, rather than newspapers?

    Correct me if I am wrong, but the only person in focus in that picture is Dick Anderson. Conlin is a fuzzy ball in the middle.

    Piss. Poor.

    And it has AP's stamp on it. WTF

    At least you're consistent. I recall you making the argument that Conlin was top of the heap because the more baseball games you've watched, clearly the more you know about baseball.

    WTF? I've never made such a statement. If I did, show me.
    ANYONE who has covered baseball knows about Bill Conlin. Most know that he's a student of the game and while he may not be the most gifted of writers and the best of reporters, he's been consistent throughout his career with providing excellent baseball coverage on a local and national level.
    Dick, know what you are talking about before you post.
