Big-time gate crasher, Jerry Berliant

    If you've worked the hospitality room at any big-time sports event in the last 25 years, you've been in the room with this guy.

    Now we find out from the estimable Roger Ebert that Berliant is not only a sports green fly, he's in show biz, movies, and politics.

    Deep in the comments section, you'll find 3 sportswriters, Kindred, Art Spander, and Bill Nack, all of whom have tried to chase this guy out of the room, failing every time.

    If that guy's an IRS agent secretly reporting on the doings of the rich, what's he going to sportswriters' parties for??
