I actually would not mind it being Iowa State. Then the Big 12 can dump Baylor as well and add BYU and Utah.

Now that Paterno's in God's waiting room, he's in no
    position to veto.

If the Big 10 goes to 12, hopefully the Pac-10 follows suit.

It would be a really tough break. I'd say that Minnesota and Wisconsin have to be in same division, but then you'd have to split up IU and Purdue or NU and Illinois.

    Berwanger Division
    NU
    Indiana
    Pitt
    Penn State
    Purdue
    Ohio State

    Nagurski
    Illinois
    Iowa
    Minnesota
    Wisconsin
    Michigan
    Michigan State

I've thought about that, but who the @#$@#$ would it add? I could see Boise as No. 11. Who'd be No. 12, though?

Pre-Penn State the travel partners were:

    UM/MSU
    OU/IU
    Purdue/Illinois
    Wisky/NW
    Iowa/Minnesota

And if you've learned anything from the ACC debacle, don't divide the divisions to try and get the football title game you want/expect.

Paterno apparently didn't have a problem with Pitt possibly joining the Big Ten back in May:

You're right, UM/UW aren't terribly close, but that drive is all interstate. You can do it in four hours. OSU/IU is probably a worse drive.

What about Syracuse? Great basketball and shit football, but has a hell of a football tradition.

    Not in a million years.

Again, some of y'all are only looking at this from a football perspective. There are many more factors to consider here.

If it's Pitt/Ruters/Cuse, the league will probably look like this:

    Michigan
    Michigan State
    Ohio State
    Penn State
    Big East School
    Northwestern

    Indiana
    Illinois
    Iowa
    Purdue
    Wisconsin
    Minnesota

    If it's Mizzou:

    Michigan
    Michigan State
    Ohio State
    Penn State
    Indiana
    Purdue

    Illinois
    Iowa
    Wisconsin
    Minnesota
    Northwestern
    Missouri
