    Some interesting comments from the guy that has been kicking ESPN.com's ass. I didn't know he worked for the AP.

    Yep. He spent about a year in the main office in New York City. I worked with him. He's a good guy and has been killin' Katz lately.

    I worked with Jeff back in the day at School Sports (on a crew that included Rob Bradford). A great reporter and a good guy. Nice to see him getting some national pub.

    Nice dig at AP New York.

    I tried to make some extra beer money freelancing for papers around the country. I took a job with the AP in Buffalo and was promoted to NYC (although no one warned me that it was hardly a perk to work in that communication-challenged office), where I lasted about a year.
