Cincinnati basketball beat writer Bill Koch and sports takeouts guy (and former Reds beat writer) John Erardi also out.

Hope Nick Hurm and Rory Glynn and others have nice landing spots. Are they still supposedly looking for a sports editor?

Assuming the two who left are not replaced how many staffers will be left? Six?

Gannett doesn't care about quality journalism...it cares about bottom line only.

I think there will be about 10-12 positions total. Romenesko had a link to the job flowchart at one point listing all the positions, but I'm not sure if that link is still around.
