Haven't watched tonite's ep yet, but here's this from the LA Times:

I've watched 3-4 eps of this with the wife and haven't cracked a smile once.

Maybe a little too close to home or something, but I just don't think any of the jokes are funny.

    Mother, I love. Scrubs, I love. 30Rock, I love. Sunny, I love.

But the two big "nerd shows" (Big Bang and IT Crowd) have always just rubbed me the wrong way.

Okay, now I've watched it. Review: Meh.
    Carry on.

  4. I missed it because the storms screwed with my Directv all the way through 2 1/2 men. I've had DTV for like 6 years now and this is the first time the interference was so bad that I missed even an entire show.

Favorite show, since ABC cancelled Pushing Daisies (see other thread).

Lots of chuckles, no belly laughs.

Hits too close to home? You're a nerd with a hot chick for a neighbor?

  8. More like, standing around screaming into a mic playing Rock Band isn't funny. It's playing rock band.

The Aspergers guy is neat, and he's the closest one to drawing a smile out of me, but the rest of the show just feels so canned and rote, it just as easily could be "Revenge of the Nerds: The TV Show!"

I just want people to quit assuming it "hits too close to home" for me.

    OK, previous episode:
Howard's phone rings: "Ohhh, I'm getting laid tonight."

Penny to Leonard: "His right hand is calling him?"

Yeah, just a smile. No big laugh there.
