AP moved two photos identified as Mark Coolbaugh, the minor league coach who was killed by a line drive. The photo of him in a Kansas City uniform is Mark Coolbaugh. The photo of the player in the Texas uniform is actually his brother Scott Coolbaugh.

Mea culpa. I just went back and looked at it again. The cutline says it's a picture of him when he was with the Tulsa Drillers. I saw the uniform and thought it was a Texas uniform. The story said his brother, Scott, played with Texas. I put 2 and 2 together and came up with 5. The faces look different as well. I'll go back to sleep now.

It's Mike Coolbaugh, sted Mark Coolbaugh.

Scott, by the way, also is a hitting instructor in the Texas League.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Mike Coolbaugh also played college ball at Texas.

Unless you're looking at another photo this is with the Drillers in 1996. I'm looking at one where he's going to throw and a guy is sliding into second. Sure the uni looks like a Rangers uni, but it's not.
