Huh? It's not like Axel Foley is Hamlet. Murphy knocked me over in Dreamgirls. Foley's character would be a walk in the park.

I think he meant making Axel relevant and cool...even though Eddie will be 48 or 49 by the time the movie finally starts shooting.

    Damn that's depressing.

People were saying the same thing about Harrison Ford in the latest Indiana Jones movie and he pulled that off just fine.

Yeah but Harrison Ford hasn't sucked since the end of the Reagan years.

As long as the movie stays away from space and Murphy plays only one character and there are some titties, I'm down for it.

Alexl Foley is a bad ass mofo when done right.

How do you know? You're still living in the Reagan years Mr. You Can Still Rock in America.

Axel Foley doesn't need to go to Beverly Hills. All he has to do is head to the City-County Building in downtown Detroit for a better script than anyone in Hollywoodcould dream up.

    Well, yeah.

That and the fact I still live with my parents, sport a mullet and haven't quite figured out a way to pass 10th grade Science.

    WHAT!?!?!?!? :-\

I loved both those movies. Classics from my junior high days.

Yeah, and you'd have had to be in junior high to laugh with them.

The last time Eddie Murphy was funny in a movie theater, it was Raw. His last funny live-action movie was Beverly Hills Cop 2.

Hell, The Golden Child was better than Harlem Nights or Coming To America.
