Best uniform change: NBA, NHL, MLB edition

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Trey Beamon, Sep 29, 2006.

  1. Houston division:

After winning back-to-back championships, the Rockets went for the Jetsons-looking unis, complete with a flying hypodermic needle with teeth. Now they've changed to Satanic-looking duds. And they haven't sniffed another title since.

Oh, and the Texans' logo is a jockstrap.

And as for the Astros, the rainbows wouldn't work today, but to me they should always be orange and blue.

DoubleJ...thanks for posting those picks. I agree, the B's have had some great uniforms, right up until 1996 with their current uni's. Fortunately I think this will be the last season we'll see them, they'll go to the 70's uniform for every game next season...and if they have a 3rd sweater, hopefully it will be the one worn by Orr in the pick you posted.

If the two-tone Orioles caps come back, they'd better be followed by the word 'Baltimore' on the away jerseys.

I was very pleased when the Blues switched from the Mid-90's disaster with the red triangle at the bottom
[IMG] to the more classical look they've been sporting for several years.

Oh yes ... and they had more ugly interchangeable parts than anyone thought possible.

I liked the black jerseys - no surprise for those who know me - but they did all sorts of hideous things. And now red alternate jerseys?

Amen Beef - I have one of the newer jerseys in my closet. Very slick.

The Braves change in the late 80s was needed.

The Astros color change to "brick" with tan and black is nice.

The Cowboys should revert to the navy-white retro uniforms they wore a few weeks ago.

Here's my other bitch about current uniforms. Why do the Mets have to wear that ugly black hat all the time.

I think the blue hat with the orange NY is really sharp. It's one of my favorite MLB hats.

Or they might revent back to the mid-90s, when they had three jerseys, three hats and no uniform look. I like the Pirates how they are now, really.

I agree, Oz, but wouldn't mind seeing the red bills again.

When it first came out, someone surmised that the Texans logo looked like what would happen if the Patriots logo and the Texas Longhorn logo spawned a child.

In happier Houston news, I did like it when the Astros lost those blue and gold uni's and at least got closer to their original colors with the red and black. I hate it when teams change colors.
