Is there any sport with uglier uniforms than soccer?

Never understood the "tradition" of using collared shirts as jerseys in soccer, volleyball & a few other team sports (rugby).

    (Tennis, golf & bowling don't count :) ).

Arena football and NASCAR leap to my mind.

Sure, soccer has had some clunkers (see the USA denim jersey from WC 1994). But no more so than any other sport.

Seriously? The majority of soccer jerseys can actually be warn out on the street.

Just look at the jerseys in every sport:

Baseball: Buttons down the front with big script lettering across

Football: Either the shirt is too short and the fat midsection sticks out, the mesh makes you look foolish or the jersey is actually meant for pads so it is too big.

Basketball: Arguably it is the best because it is a tank top.

Hockey: Often too big in size on people and can only be worn in the winter.

    NASCAR: Not a sport.

Soccer jerseys, when designed properly, consistently are a touch of class. Just look at the Dutch World Cup jersey. That orange kit was beautiful.

Pastor ... you seem to wear a lot of red X's. ;D

Wasn't denim. Blue with white stars. I thought it was awesome — pretty much said USA very bluntly. That was the last World Cup before USA made the Nike error.

    And NASCAR doesn't have jerseys,

Never seen that in a mall — not even the one across the street from Daytona.

Never seen a replica firesuit (come to think of it, I've never seen a real firesuit for sale in a mall), but have seen the firesuit-replica jackets.

Soccer jerseys have a bad rap because of all the damn ads across them, which does look like shit. Without the ads, soccer's gear is as cool as that of any sport.

Damn it! But it seems fixed now...

I hated the USA "denim" kit. I had the away one for that year (red and white waving stripes) and feel that it was the last great American kit.

Recent years have shown Nike being a much better producer than Adidas.
