Unlike the Bills, who were too fucking cheap to buy a set of white helmets that year.

The Vikings don't need throwback uniforms.

The '94 Bills and Jets throwbacks were all fucked up.

I coach prep ball. The coach's shorts we got last year were messed up by the manufacturer and came in with white helmets. I spent the year trying to talk our coach into getting white helmets for this year Can't afford it. High school I can see, but the Buffalo Bills? Really?

How about the U of Florida with the white helmet and orange "F"

They need their old unis back. The new ones are HORRIBLE.

And I would love it if they were playing back at Met Stadium. Those games were the best.

Somehow I don't think my plan of demolishing the Mall of America to rebuild a new version of Met Stadium will go over too well.

There was no cause for the Vikings to get new uniforms, none. They'd been wearing essentially the same timeless uniforms for more than four decades.

Love these threads. Then again, the Saints have always had sharp uniforms.

Absolutely, LJB. Brooklyn, take a look at the side of Thomas's helmet. That blob is supposed to be a white standing buffalo ... except the Bills never wore such a thing. Ditched the grazer for the charger in 1974, didn't go to red helmets until 1984. And if my memory isn't failing me, I believe the striped socks and the missing 35th anniversary patch on the right shoulder are the only other differences between what he's wearing and the regular road uniform.

Their explanation was, they didn't want to go to the time and trouble of breaking in a second set of helmets that would only be used for two games. I like my answer better. They now break in both helmets during training camp, and Hojo and Woody (the equipment guys) seem to be the only ones inconvenienced by the deal.

Switching gears, I'd also like to jump on the haterwagon for the Vikings' new uniforms. Nothing wrong with the old ones.

It was a lame effort by the Bills. They didn't even start wearing white road pants until the mid-'80s.

God damn those Oiler retros are tight. The socks, the avant garde numerals, everything. To think they were worn by the likes of Bucky Richardson and Billy Joe Tolliver makes me sick all over again.
