So what has everyone been rocking out to with the windows down this summer?

Lately, I've gone back to playing Bruce's "Magic." "Radio Nowhere," "Girls in Their Summer Clothes," and Livin' in the Future," among others are all good summer driving songs.

    Any favorites?

I really like Piebald's last album, "Accidental Gentlemen." It's light and just has a summer feel.

I was counting on you to respond, mikey. This thread has been a stinker so far.

And I'm just what your thread needed? That's pretty sad, my man.

I don't really change my music for the seasons. So I'm playing a lot of Rilo Kiley right now...but I still would be if it were November.

I do play "Summertime" by Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, though...and loudly!

Damn, you're right. I will now go hang my head in shame.

"Dancing in the Street" by Martha and the Vandellas. Makes you want to jump on your car and dance while you're driving.

And in the cheesy (very) department, "Summer of '69" by Bryan Adams.

While on the road for most of June, I made a ton of mix CDs, so I listened to a little bit of everything. But the one CD I've been playing over and over for weeks now is the first Mermaid Avenue CD of Billy Bragg and Wilco singing Woody Guthrie songs.
