John Hadl had a nice run with the Rams after some good years in San Diego.

And not best, but Tommy Maddox had some success with the Steelers after flaming out in NFL and playing in the XFL.

Everyone rags on Favre, but he wasn't Willie Mays falling down in the outfield.

He had an MVP-caliber season in Minnesota, possibly the best individual regular season of his career.

Michael Vick is pretty high on the list.

Very interesting four. Blanda may be the greatest "comeback" in football history. Retired in 1958. Came back in the AFL in 1960 and played until 1975.

Does Tarkenton get special credit for making his third act back in the place he played his first act?

Will throw Frank Tripucka in there. Played in the NFL from 1949 to 1952 with little success, went to Canada and became a star. Retired. Hired as a coach in Denver. The Qbs were so bad they drafted Tripucka into service and he started for three seasons and then went back to Canada.

And Jeff Garcia and Steve Deberg are in that multi-act stage as well with Testaverde.

    Agreed.

But he's pretty high on the list.

Dave Krieg in KC? Trent Green?

How about Jim Kelly? (Houston Gamblers)

Way before my time, but I have read much about Y.A. Tittle's resurgence in New York after he looked to be done in San Francisco at age 34 as the 49ers ushered in John Brodie. In his first three seasons with Giants, he was 31-5-1 as a starter and threw 86 touchdown passes, won some share of three different MVP awards and was first-team All-Pro twice.
