For me I think that after Manning got over the hump that was New England in the playoffs, and now winning the SuperBowl last night. Manning is the best QB in NFL history because the guy just knows how to manage the game right and keep those two Pro-Bowl WR's happy. Also by the time Manning retires from the game of football he will have all of the QB passing records and he will have more than one SuperBowl ring.

Manning has a ways to go to catch Montana. He's off to a helluva start though.

Few things Peyton needs to do before passing Montana:

    1. Get at least two more rings and two more MVPs.
    2. Have a "signature" Super Bowl win.
    3. Keep challenging for the Super Bowl in years he doesn't make it.
    4. Take Kansas City to the AFC Championship game at 37 years old. ;)

My 1-2 are Montana and Elway, but you have to love a poll that doesn't include any player whose career began before 1979...

Are Aikman, Manning and Brady all better than Steve Young and Brett Favre?

Brady and Aikman don't belong in this conversation.
