    Once heard of a New Orleans Times-Picayune writer covering an event freelance for another publication who used the name T.P. Stringer.

    That's real name of a former basketball teammate. We all called him Junior.

    But I've used it as a pseudonym.

    Before I spiral off into another series of witless puns, let me ask an honest question: Where do you work that they allow the use of pseudonyms? I've never worked anywhere that allowed them.
