    In university, our paper had "Ben Agiter".

    "Bien Agiter" is French for shake well.

    I have only had something published with a pseudonym once. An editor, who I am certain lurks on here, and I had a fight about a spineless edit... It was an edgy regular column. I wrote something satirical and they got all wussy and edited the thing because they were afraid it might offend someone; it was purposely sexist. Their edit destroyed it; it was brutally unfunny after they hacked it. We fought about it and he finally agreed to slap a pseudonym on it because I didn't want my name near it. He made it a thinly-disguised variation of the name of another writer we both make fun of. His choice of pseudonym almost made up for ruining something that had been pretty good. He still mentions the pseudonym to me occasionally and I laugh every time.

    Sorry for the vague story. Just felt like sharing. :)
