i'll be there this weekend. i guess the sports books are a good place to watch, but i'm assuming they'll be overcrowded. any suggestions for other good venues to watch a game? it'd be nice if they had free drinks like in the sports books but that's not a necessity.

There's an ESPN Zone inside New York New York, though it's small so get there early. Some of the bigger sports books are at Caesars and the MGM, if you think you could catch a stray seat at one. If crowds really bother you, head downtown during the games. The sports books there will be full, but likely not SRO.

All that said, if I were going and didn't want to watch the games at a sports book, I'd head to the Triple 7 Brew Pub inside Main Street Station (downtown). Excellent brews, many HDTVs with sight lines from every seat in the bar. The food is ok, maybe even a little above average for a sports bar.

I'll be there this weekend as well and headed to the Venetian for most of my sports watching. Great, comfortable seats and they keep the beers coming.

I'll be there this weekend as well. I'm staying in New York New York so I may head over to the Worldwide Leader Zone for the Saints-Eagles game.

The last place I'd go would be the ESPNZone, and when I'm there next week I won't get near the place. One and only time I was there it was shoulder to shoulder, cigarette smoke so thick you would have thought the place was on fire, and a 90-minute wait for a table. Food was, at best, mediocre.

Hell, I'll fess up and admit why I'm going...me and a buddy are going to the Adult Video Expo. He went last year, saw Jay-Z on the exhibit floor, got his picture taken with Peter North and got all sorts of free pictures and DVDs signed by porno actresses. Along with the porn, gambling and drinking, I also plan on getting a tattoo.
