It occurred to me today that CNN.com is terrible these days when it comes to news. They hardly update headlines on weekends. Even if they did, I'm not sure I'd follow them. Their headlines are so vague that I never know whether it's a sports story or something related to Iraq.

The bottom line is that I need to get my Web news elsewhere. Any suggestions? And what about sports news? I've been going to ESPN.com for years. The site, though,is overwhelming. I'm not a Fox fan, but I was steered to the Fox Sports site by an SJer, and I found a great feature that doesn't seem to be available at ESPN.com.

ABC News is the best news website and CTV for Canadian news. With ABC their video on demand is top-rated and their webcast is informative and up to the date (current). CTV gets the news a lot quicker than CBC does.

BBC, for a broader world view. They're pretty good about updating, and have plenty of US news. Beats the shit out of CNN on a daily basis.
