    Breach and Zodiac were both completely overlooked... I'm guessing if either had come out in November or later and not early Spring, that would not have been the case...

    It didn't make a dime -- Breach was '06, BTW -- but "In The Valley of Elah" was the best movie I saw this year, with No Country a decent second.

    I thought it was December 06 for last year's Oscars.
    I thought Breach was mini-released in 12/06 for last year's show.
    If not then, damn, it did get screwed.

    Zodiac and Breach both shut out.

    It was a great year if they were bumped.

    I don't think they were "bumped" I just think they were forgotten about...

    I think Silence of the Lambs was the last movie released before the summer that won best picture. I think Braveheart and Forrest Gump were summer releases and even that is pretty rare...
