The fictional Gorbachev in Rocky IV (does he have to be an American president or have the title "president?")

Or the fictional Soviet leader in that 1982-ish Clint Eastwood movie where he steals the Russian MiG that's controlled by the pilot's thoughts through a special helmet and is impervious to radar. The guy was a dead ringer for Konstantin Chernenko.

jeff bridges, one of my favorite actors, in 'the contender' was awesome. loved the film, loved his 'president,' who is portrayed throughout as a prez primarily concerned with the variety of food he can summon from the kitchen any hour of the day, an off-beat prez who doesnt strut his extraordinary charisma and powerful leadership until the final seen...

joan allen as the v.p. 'contender' is also wonderful in this rarely-discussed film. four stars. 8) 8) 8)

Wonders why he was left off. Was it the air shortage? Was it trying to exterminate Planet Druidia? Was it because his luggage combo was 1-2-3-4-5?

Interesting fact: Harry Truman has been played twice each on separate projects by two actors from long-running NBC shows (and they both did great jobs): Ed Flanders and Richard Dysart.

Back then, when the mods threatened to nuke a politics thread, people paid attention.

Wonder how Aaron Eckhart will stack up.

Die Hard in the White House. It looks more like a Die Hard movie than the last Die Hard, which was a piece of shit.

And I can't believe I forgot President Scroob! Spaceballs? Oh, shit, there goes the forum.

"Die Hard" in the White House, or "Air Force One" on the ground.
