I didn't hate The Notebook, but it sucked. The "twist" ending was revealed in, oh, the first minute of the film. Bleech.

This has been said before, but what's so depressing about Saw II and, especially, Saw III is that the original Saw proved it could be tense and dramatic without resorting to torture porn. I almost couldn't stomach Saw III, so I cringe at what Hostel 2 and Captivity must be like.

I didn't mind part 2 because I felt that in a way it somewhat advanced the story. But part 3 tried to fuck with the ending to the first movie and that really pissed me off. It changed all kinds of things about what I loved the most (I.E. Adam getting left to die). I have still yet to see part 4 and don't think i ever will.

Believe it or not, the endings to the two Daria movies were solid.

"the usual suspects" is second only to "seven," imho. that ending upset me for days.

"i decided to take a momento -- her pretty little head (or words to that effect)."

gwyneth's head in a box. chilling.

Good call on "The Usual Suspects."

The one that immediately comes to mind is "Seven." I did not see it coming.

Don't click on these if you have not seen the films.

I know it was different than the book, but The Natural works for me.

Staying with Redford, The Sting ended nicely.

    The best - Shawshank

Two I'll throw out there, that immediately came to mind: Rosemary's Baby, which is wonderfully strange, and American Beauty, which some element of surprise, but moreover was just really well done.

I do love the end of Shawshank Redemption. I can't ever get tired of that movie, especially that part.

The end of "The Longest Yard" is outstanding as well. The original, not the remake.

    "Game Ball"
