Aren’t you obligated to choose that scene based on your handle?

A cameo appearance means one scene. You are correct about Cruise in that movie.
I like JFK. Donald Sutherland as "Mr. X."
"We were left with our dicks in the wind, Mr. Garrison ... a lot of pissed-off people."

Three great ones from Spinal Tap:

    Paul Shaffer as Artie Fufkin:

"Kick me in the ass! Kick my ass!!!"

Bruno Kirby as the Frank Sinatra-loving limo driver:

"They don't understand a life like Frank's. When you've lived and loved like Frank has you know what life's all about."

Fred Willard as the major at the Air Force base:

    "And you are Spinal Tarp?"

Was anybody in Spinal Tap known? Before then Paul Shaffer had done SNL and Willard was on Fernwood Tonight?

I swear I have always thought Fred Willard was one of the hosts on "Real People" from the '70s, but I don't find it on his imdb page.

EDIT: Willard appeared in at least one episode of "Real People," in 1979.

Shit, Jimmy Breslin was on that show, too.

Years before they actually made a movie about it, and before Marvel made comic book and sci-fi crossovers and shared universes cool, the Alien skull on the wall of the Predator ship in the closing moments of Predator 2.

Trombone Shorty was electric in the Peanuts Movies. Also, Gary Payton in Lego Movie 2. Sorry, I have children and not seen a lot of movies lately.

Please: Lance Armstrong wins this category for Dodgeball with a runner up for Dan Marino in Ace Ventura. "Laces OUT Dan!"

Nicholson is in only two scenes in A Few Good Men.
