I'll add "Right Now" by Van Halen. I always think about football kickoff when I hear it.

I love those two. I'll throw in Debaser by the Pxies, "Porch" by pearl Jam; "Always in Love" by Wilco; "Alive" by pearl Jam. Just a few. I've got more, but I'm trying to finish the paper.

    Two more:

"I've Seen The Saucers" - Elton John
"Long Ago and Far Away" - James Taylor (HC would like the lyrical intro)

No love for Enter Sandman? The way it builds slowly, then explodes just when the lyrics hit sucks you in and kicks your ass.
I'm also partial to The House that Jack Built (off the Load album). It starts off intense and pulls you in, like it's telling you this is going to be an interesting but unpleasant ride (perfect for a song about addiction). If I had entrance music, the first minute of that song would be it.

"Smells Like Teen Spirit" - Nirvana

"Another One Bites The Dust" - Queen

"Just What I Needed" - The Cars

"10 AM Automatic" - Black Keys

Message In A Bottle" - The Police

I thought Crazy Train was Ozzy with Randy Rhoades (sp).

Good call on Behind the Lines. I always liked the Dodo/Lurker intro. Really stands out to me for some reason. How about Turn It On Again? The horns on I Missed Again are also nice.

  11. The intro to "Swamp Thing" by Chameleons (UK) is soul stirring and ominous.

I agree with quite a few mentioned earlier, but I'd like to include "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath.
