Of course......Eruption by Van Halen is at the top of the list--IMO.

Just heard "Wish You Were Here" by Incubus. That kinda rocks.

Which other songs do you hear the first few notes too, and say to yourself...."Yeeeeaaaaahhhhh"?

  2. I've always liked the intro from "somebody to shove" from Soul Asylum.

Can't go wrong with a little "jungle" from G&R

Here's a few that should be at the top of the list:
    - the prelude to Billy Joel's "Angry Young Man"
    - the 'foreplay' lead in to Boston's "Long Time" (just listen to the first 2:45 of this
    )
    - "Tighten Up" - Archie Bell & the Drells

then in the Springsteen division, top intros go to:
    - "Born to Run"
    - "No Surrender"
    - "Badlands"
    - "NYC Serenade"
    - "Kitty's Back"
    - "Rosalita"

End of Thread? That must be the lack of sleep talking ;D
IMO there's intros better than that one.

How can we mention Traveling Band and Fortunate Son but not have Bad Moon Rising on the list?

  11. Hugy --
