They are a few brands that are pretty good, but Rhode Island style - lots of people know what this is - is my preferred method of eating them. Pork not beef, high-quality steamed bun, meat sauce, onions, celery salt, yellow mustard.

A defense of ketchup on hot dogs:

And, a Chicago hot dog slide show:

The reason ketchup sucks is because it makes whatever you put it on taste like ketchup. It's a condiment for people who can't cook. Or can't taste.

So, what do you put on a burger?

And, for the love of God, I don't care how he likes it, but would someone tell the President to stop ordering his burgers in public with Dijon mustard:

(The news specified it was Dijon.)

Dick Morris would have never let Bill Clinton do that.

YGBFKM prefers bitch sauce on his burgers.

Seriously, he eats them plain. I mean, WTF?

Anything but ketchup. Often nothing, but sometimes mustard, occasionally BBQ sauce.

I drove by Hot Doug's the other day. Line was out the door.

Did Urban Belly for lunch instead: http://urbanbellychicago.com/

If you're ever in downtown Indy during lunchtime, this place is a must. My waistline had the great misfortune of me working around the corner from this place for a month.

This is my new stop for a good dog: http://www.swigrestaurantandbar.com/menu.php

The beer menu is always changing...and I always find a good one.

    Ketchup sucks.

I like mine with lettuce, onions, a good mustard, and a good cheese (burgers).

Hot dogs with a good spicy mustard and onions.

There's a place in the county where I work called Norm's that has excellent Chicago dogs. Outside of that, I rarely eat hot dogs.
