Best Girl Scout Cookie

Yes, my daughter, a second-grader, is one. Needless to say, she did pretty well selling 'em in the newsroom. And some of the new flavors, such as lemonades, were big sellers.

For me, though, you can't beat the Thin Mints. There's two sleeves of them per box, so that means two servings.

 

I bought three boxes of Tagalongs earlier today, but won't get them until next Sunday.

The girl I bought them from ran out while selling to people at church.

 

Cross-threading here: One of my best friends from HS/early college found me on Facebook and we've been hitting it off like no time has ever passed. Her daughter is selling Girl Scout cookies and I ordered two boxes of Samoas. I'm supposed to pick them up this week. I'll be shocked if I make it back to my parents' house with any cookies left.

(If she has any left, Cadet, maybe I'll order you a box...and then eat it all before I reach the post office )

 

That's insane. Why would they build a market for a cookie for decades and then take it away?

For the longest time I was a peanut butter whatever-the hell-they're-called guy. Then I tried Samoas on a whim when a co-worker's kid was making the rounds.
