Paul Lynde on Hollywood Squares was the funniest; Elaine Joyce on Match Game was the prettiest; Fannie Flagg on Match Game was the bustiest; Brett Somers on Match Game was the most annoying.

And Betty White on Password may have been the smartest.

 

Second vote for Paul Lynde in the center square. Yes, he was flamboyant as a three-dollar bill, but the wisecrack that was forthcoming was the funniest moment of many a grade-school summer morning of mine.

As I said on the other thread, Nipsey Russell, and it's not close. Peggy Cass was pretty good on To Tell the Truth. And Mitzi McCall and Charlie Brill qualify for the What in the Hell Were They Besides Game Show Guests? award.

Worst game-show panelist? David Letterman. Was annoying and mailed it in on $25,000 Pyramid, and wasn't much better on The Gong Show.

Richard Dawson on Match Game was pretty fuckin' chalk.
