    Kind of like the police lieutenant who apparenly had no other cases to work on, leaving him free to chase the elusive Richard Kimble across the country.

    I guess we'll never know why Lt. Gerard failed to notify The FBI that a convicted murderer had escaped from custody and was crossing state lines, using aliases and endangering the lives of numerous innocent bystanders who happened to cross Kimble's path. Quinn Martin could also have told Insp. Erskine. They both dropped the ball, and taxpayers footed the bill for four years. Shameful, really.
