I think that was a cover of an old James Gang tune that showed up on a number of live bootlegs.

  4. I don't think they've written it yet.

    I have hope for them.

I know. I know that these guys know the their best work is ahead of them.

They've nothing but better songs to write.

    I know it.

    I know it's in them.

The song? Sure, I'll tell it to ya.

It's the sound of someone taking "steel needles -- well, well, actually, hundreds of pairs of steel needles -- say, fifteen, eighteen inches long -- with real sharp points -- and [plunging] them into the [Eagles'] eyes? What would their reaction be? I think it might go something like this ... "

That sound? It would be glorious.

    Glorious.

    For me, it's "Old '55."

For old times sake, I also like "Best of my love," because it reminds me of the encore at a 1975 Eagles concert in which the redhead I once thought would become the Mrs. Micro someday was wrapped in my arms, swaying gently to the music.

Alas, it didn't work out but here's wishing her a Happy 52nd BD on the 28th of July.

Old 55 is actually a great song, although I personally prefer the Tom Waits version.
