    Another vote for London

Had a really good time in Calgary a couple of years ago.

As far as smaller towns go, I really liked Siena, Italy when I visited there.

I'll also throw in Rome, Berlin, Munich, Paris and Amsterdam.

  4. Siena is wonderful. I would love to be there for the horse races at Il Campo.

We spent a week in Paris staying at a friend's place which is literally at the base of the Eiffel Tower. Montmartre, Sacre-Coceur, the Louvre, the Orsay, Les Invalides and it goes on. So much to see and do.

Rome is great also. Only had three days there which isn't enough by a long shot. Meals in Italy are something to experience.

Paris is without question the greatest city I've visited. And I must have gone at a good time (Nov. 1999, pre-Euro) because I really didn't find it that expensive.

Been to Venice, didn't care for it much. Of course I got sick while I was there so that might be tempering my opinion of the place.

Monaco would be pretty cool if you had money.

Perhaps it was the sweet stench of moral decay that sickened you. Or maybe just the water.

    What about Edinburgh, Valencia, Istanbul?
