Genny Screamers. Hah! Give me anything by Flying Bison, Ellicottville, or Southern Tier instead. Well, maybe not anything with blueberries, but other than that, OK.

Home state: Yuengling Black and Tan.

Nothing like some Apricot Wheat to go with the 25 cent wings at Kilpatrick's on Thursday nights.

There are good microbrews everywhere -- except for maybe, based on the map, West Virginia.

As far as why you should come to Kentucky for beer, it's simple. Our boys use recently emptied bourbon barrels to age their product and give it some Bourbon flavor. It's worth trying, even if it's only once.

A Genny Cream draft with a beef on weck or some real wings -not the steroid-induced version most bars serve these days - is as good as it gets for this Erie County diaspora.

Followed by a Widmer hef, of course. With several lemons.
