Awesome. Playoff beards and a Slap Shot reference.

I'm a proponent of Johnny Canuck (and I know that it is technically a logo). It rules.

New York Rangers defenseman Paul Mara has a nice beard.

Holy shit. A Harald Ertl reference on SportsJournalists.com.

I bow to the obscurity of your brilliance.

    Yes, you're right. Was.

Yes! And the Portland Buckaroos, featuring defence partners Pat Stapleton (middle row, third from right) and Doug Messier (back row, second from right). :)

Holy moly, brutha! Dick van Impe, too!

Yeah, I did a story in the Loops on a masters rec hockey tournament. Interviewed an 80-odd-year-old fella who played for the Totems. Name escapes me now but he had a cup of coffee with the Red Wings.

Dick Van Impe.....brother of Ed, by chance?

Lots of recognizable names there....Tom McVie, Jack Bionda, Andy Hebenton, Hal Laycoe.

Didn't that guy end up in prison?

For stuff unrelated to grooming and general deportment, I mean.
