    --Foreigner: Foreigner/Double Vision
    --Heart: Dreamboat Annie/Little Queen
--Pat Benatar: In the Heat of the Night/Crimes of Passion

Hard to argue with this, especially when you put it in context with what else was being released at the time.

Hard to believe the guy who made the first point came up with this list.

image.jpeg According to wikipedia "Yesterday and Today" was released between Rubber Soul and Revolver.

The Beatles considered the UK releases the actual albums. They considered "Yesterday and Today" as simply a record-company ploy to wring more money out of the audience.

Spoon is on my favorite run in music of seven straight good-to-great albums.

Bob Dylan's Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited, Blonde On Blonde is my favorite three-album run.

And I'll throw The Hold Steady's Boys and Girls of America and Stay Positive out there.

    ZZ Top: Tres Hombres/Fandango
    David Bowie: Ziggy Stardust/Aladdin Sane

Just about anything by the Beatles. But yes, Rubber Soul and Revolver are tough to beat.

  9. Zepplin III-IV
Beach Boys: Pet Sounds-Endless Summer (I am a die-hard BB fan.)

    Country division:
Hank Jr. : Rowdy and The Pressure is On

The Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society
Arthur (or the Decline & Fall of the British Empire)
Lola vs. Powerman and the Moneygoround

You could probably add one or two to either end of that run and not be embarrassed.

Alice Cooper: Schools Out (June 1972, topped out at No 2 on Billboard), followed by Billion Dollar Babies (Feb. 1973, topped out at No 1)!
