    A couple of things come to mind. Will Musharraf hold the general election on January 8 and will the Pakistan People's Party be able to come up with a plausible leader before then?

    Wow, this is a big-time disaster, for Pakistan and the Middle East. No doubt, Musharef will take the heat for this.

    Is there any question that Musharraf is ultimately behind this? He can now cancel upcoming elections in the name of "national mourning" or something like, and use the search for Bhutto's killers to purge the radical elements that want him gone. He has just set himself up to be the dictator for life.
