We can't afford to do that.

Anyone have any thoughts on the salary cap?

    Lame in-jokes, you say?

I gotcha. As a Phillies phanboi, though, it rubs me a little when people lump them in with the likes of the Red Sox and Yankees. Yeah, they're a big market team and they've started to lock up some of their big guns with big money. But this group has still gone through "the process" of winning (very similar to their 1980 championship team), and it's been fun to watch them do it over the last five years or so.

Hey YGBFKM, you see our least-favorite ChiSox is out there pitching for the Rox? Maybe we can unload Josh Fields on them too.

The biggest difference, to me, is that the Phillies will be able to keep their young stars. The Rockies can keep one or two of them and will have to jettison the rest when they get too costly. I do like that the Phillies utilized their farm system well, though.

Oh, bite me. I posted like 10 times about Punto on a 60-page thread. I also posted about things NOT named Punto.

I don't think the Rockies mind letting go of Matt Holliday.

Thank you, Zeke, for proving my point.

I also posted about Eddie Taubensee.

    Not dead... Gay or Canadian?

(And I'm pretty sure you were cooking up a post about Mudcat Grant.)

You're right. You've never, ever, done a similar thing before. Ever. In the history of SportsJournalists.com. Ever. Nope.
