    Dominique Wilkins, Dale Murphy.

In his time with the Braves and into his Phillies years, his kids went to my elementary school. He would often come by and sign autographs for kids, but I had no idea who we was when I was still in kindergarten, so I never got one.

Fast forward to about two years ago when he opened his new restaurant across the interstate from SunTrust Park. I found out a day he was going to be there, made it down there and finally corrected my wrongs about 30 years later.

Not sure Munson was beloved in his lifetime by anyone other than Yankee fans.

Kirby Puckett before his fall from grace.

Mark Fidrych - not sure anyone who had such a short career was ever so beloved for so long afterward

I'm no Yankees fan, but I was a Munson fan.
