This might cause a stir and I don't care. I asked a friend did they believe in God and they told me 'No'. For a minute, it bothered me and I thought they were joking. Then it hit me, no one jokes about something like that.
I went to another subject, but I admit, I am still somewhat bothered by it. Not only that, my thoughts of this person have completely changed because of that comment.

Your friend is far from alone in his beliefs.

Working hard to get my fill,
    everybody wants a thrill
Payin' anything to roll the dice,
    just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
    Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on

This seems like it would be the appropriate place for a Jerry Falwell joke ...

Despite how judging most Christians appear to be, I've always been very Christian and have also lived under the beliefs that it's not my place to judge someone who isn't just like me. I think homosexuality is between that person and their beliefs and it's not my place to judge them. I think people who lie need our trust more than anything. I've been burned by this a few times, and sometimes it's really hard to give someone my trust when they've repeatedly lied to me in the past, but eventually they get it.

Oh, and Christians are supposed to forgive people who hurt them or are mean to them. When I went on my nice kick a few weeks ago, I realized how unforgiving I'd been. Life's much more pleasant when I'm forgiving people for everything.

Is that why you weren't around as much? Is the niceness harder to maintain 'round these parts?
