Would like everyone to submit two choices:

    1. Best beer they ever had.

    2. Worst beer they ever had.

No obscure microbrews from Seattle. Only labels familiar to the general public.

  2. Best: Sam Adams (I am big believer you get what you pay for).

    Worst: PBR, Hamms.

Best: Sierra Nevada (macro enough to be sold around the country)
    Worst: Steel Reserve

  4. Riptide

    Best: Guinness.
    Worst: Master's Choice Bavarian Style.

Best: The first one I ever had.

Worst: If it is cold, and within reach, then it can't be that bad.

Best: Depends on the day. Keeping micros out really limits this for me. Don't know how mainstream Hoegaarden is but I love the stuff, especially during the summer.

    Worst: Miller High Life.

And now for the second part of my post:

    Best: Guiness

    Worst: Milwaukee's Best Premium

So, to be clear, only mass-produced crap can be considered? What about microbrews that aren't based in Seattle? Either way, both the best and worst beers I've ever had are from microbreweries.

Maybe change the thread title to "Mass-produced, cheap American lager poll" if the choices are limited to such beers.

Best: Cherrington Toby, an English ale brewed in Canuckistan by Molson's for many years. Sadly, goneski.

    Worst: Stroh's

The reason is to offer examples of beers that anyone can buy in almost any store. That's all. Didn't mean to discriminate against your micro-brews. I was only trying to get a few ideas for an upcoming vacation that my wife and I take with a couple who are total beer snobs.

    Glad to see there's someone who's low-maintenance.
