West Virginia's DINO senator, Joe Manchin, decries the coming MTV surreality series Buckwild, which is based in his state.

Among the activities to be shown: bathing swimming in the bed of a pickup truck. No word on whether the shoe/foot ratio will be accurately depicted as being slightly above 1.

 

Brings back memories of the WV governor protesting UVa's pep band skit during the Continental Tire Bowl in 2002.

It involved a twist on the Bachelor, with a UVa guy having to give a "rose" (actually a Continental tire) to either to a UVa coed planning to be a pediatrician, or a WV female in pigtails and coveralls, planning to go to Beverly Hills, with swimming pools and movie stars, etc.



This unfortunately led to the band being banned and living in exile over the past ten years. Censorship sucks.
