InsideMDSports.com, a market-leading Website covering University of Maryland sports and recruiting, is seeking a beat writer.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who can consistently deliver recruiting and team news and understands the Web space in which we operate; the job also entails interacting with subscribers on the message board and maintaining our recruit database.

We've always taken pride in producing newspaper-quality team coverage. But recruiting coverage is the lifeblood of our site and our host network, 247Sports. Preference will be given to reporters who have experience covering recruiting and can help us continue to break stories in our market.

Residents of the Washington, D.C. metro area are preferred.

I've worked with Jeff a little bit and he's a good guy, easy to work with and has good sources within Maryland sports.

247Sports is also a solid company and is rapidly coming along from its start-up stages. A strong opportunity.

Thanks for the kind words Mike.

All -- We've received overwhelming interest in the job and are done accepting applications. To those who applied: we'll be digging in next week and will reply in June.
