    Some people are dumb.
EDIT: If the Bears had won, he wouldn't have won anything, other than bragging rights.

Scott Wiese was so sure the Chicago Bears would win Super Bowl XLI, he staked his name on it.

Wiese bet five buddies that if his team didn't beat the Indianapolis Colts, he would change his name to Peyton Manning.

The Colts won 29-17, so true to his word, Wiese was at the Macon County Courts Facility in Decatur, Ill., on Tuesday to begin paperwork on the monthlong process.

Wow. Guess that means we can throw out the argument that no one gave the Bears a chance.

Could be worse. His new name could be Trent Dilfer. Too bad he didn't bet against generic names like Brad Johnson or Doug Williams.

No. The worst bet ever was the English soccer fan who cut his own nuts off when his team lost.

Only in my college town and the original home of the Bears could someone be so stupid.

Hate to correct, but it was a Welsh Rugby fan.

    Incorrect.
Changing his name to Adolf Hitler, Jose Canseco, P-Diddy or The Hamburgler would have been much worse.

The same could be said of someone who dropped 30K a year for a Millikin education.

    I keeed, I keeed.

A bet made -- and lost -- by one of the stupidest. so-called. persons. ever.
Should never consider himself a real person living in real life after making that idiotic a life-changing (err...pardon...name changing) decision ever.

Think about all the jokes this guy will have to endure about him being a 5-foot-11, 190-pound dumbass with little or no brains.
