    We've all done stupid and insensitive things. We'll all do them again. We're fortunate that most of the time our hiccups are known only to us and perhaps a few others. The guy was out of line, of course. But that doesn't mean he's deserving of being branded with a scarlet A*.

    Telling Mora to "Go On" (or whatever the wording was) went beyond the line of good taste.

    Agreed. Not only did he fuck up, but he didn't even have the sense to back down when Mora called him on it.

    Oh, I think he was already well beyond the line of good taste. And I didn't see what else he did. Was he dismissive or disrespectful (after being called on it)? I know how I would have handled it (stipulating I'd have been on the phone to begin with). I'd have tried to pantomime an "I'm sorry, please go on" ... Beyond that, I don't know what you do other than apologize.
